Plot
The Lammers decide to offer a party to the poet James Humber. Everything is nice, but the poet dies while
drinking a champagne. Thus begins a
mysterious tale about love, hate, money, discussing the relationship among
people.
Cast
of Characters
JOHN LAMMERS,
a gentleman, always very elegant, he knows how to deal with all the situations
life has always put him. He is a businessman, married to Shirley; his marriage
is in a crisis, though.
SHIRLEY LAMMERS,
beautiful, elegant, fine and rich. She thinks that the world belongs to her and
she does everything that is possible to obtain her objective. She can't stand her sister in law, Catherine,
and she's married to John Lammers.
CATHERINE LAMMERS,
John Lammers' sister, she has a confused to relation with her brother because
she doesn’t like her sister in law. She
thinks that Shirley got married to John because of his fortune in this
establishes a crisis between the Lammers.
* Aggressive, presumptuous, she got married
three times and her actual husband is in France
BARBRA FITZ,
an old widow who was married twice. She seems to be a very good person, however
being suspected from everything and for everyone. She is Shirley's best friend.
She lives with the retirement of her husband.
JAMES HUMBER,
a well-known and important American poet, he is known all over the world. His
books have been translated into several languages.
DORA PARKER,
delegate of the 14th Police Department, District of Massachusetts. She has
already travelled all over the world and worked in Scotland Yard , England
She is a friend of the Lammers.
